What that means in practice

The highest flow of Borouge's closure resins at MFR 4.0, which is what lets it fill a thin cap quickly. Organoleptics matter as much as mechanics in this application — a closure that taints bottled water has failed however well it moulds.

What to check before buying BorPure MB7581

• Closure resin is bought on stress-crack resistance and organoleptics as much as on the numbers. A cap that taints bottled water has failed however well it moulded.
• Ask whether the grade contains a slip agent. Borouge's pairs — MB6561 against MB6562, MB5568 against MB5569 — have identical density and melt flow and differ only there.
• Get the food contact and drinking water compliance documentation for the specific lot, not the generic grade declaration.
• For lightweighted closures, stress-crack resistance matters more than stiffness. Ask what the material was originally specified into before assuming it swaps.
