How Prime Polymers works

What is Prime Polymers?

A worldwide marketplace for polymer — prime, off-spec, regrind, regranulate and scrap. Sellers list material, buyers browse it or post what they are looking for, and the two sides talk directly.

Prime Polymers is operated by ARC Polymers Ltd (Co. No. 14721269). It is an introductions platform: we are not a party to any trade, we do not hold goods or money, and we give no warranty on anything listed.

What can I do for free?

Browsing every listing, searching, listing your own material, and posting a Wanted advert are all free. There is no limit on how much you list.

Membership is only needed to message another user and to use AI match.

What does membership cost, and what does it unlock?

Membership is £13.99/mo. It unlocks two things: messaging other users, and AI match.

Everything else — browsing, searching, listing, Wanted adverts — stays free whether you are a member or not.

You can start or cancel it yourself from the Membership page.

How do I list material?

Go to Sell and fill in the listing form. It is free and there is no limit on the number of listings.

A listing needs the things a trader actually needs to price it: polymer type and grade, condition (prime, off-spec, regrind, regranulate or scrap), quantity in MT, MOQ, whether it is spot or ongoing, the Incoterms, the port or loading location, price and currency, and packaging.

You can also attach a TDS, COA or spec sheet and several photos. Listings with documents and photos get taken more seriously.

Why can't I message someone?

Messaging is a member feature — it needs an active £13.99/mo membership. If your subscription has lapsed, messaging stops until it is renewed.

New accounts also have a lower daily cap on starting new conversations. It rises once your account is established. This exists to keep the marketplace free of bulk outreach, not to slow down real trade.

How does AI match work?

AI match reads what you are selling or looking for and ranks the listings and Wanted adverts already on the platform that are the closest fit, with a short note on why each one matches.

It only ever draws on what is already listed here. It does not price your material, contact anyone for you, or introduce listings that do not exist.

It is a member feature and has a monthly credit limit.

Who am I actually trading with?

The other user, directly. Prime Polymers introduces the two sides and nothing more — we are not a party to the sale, we do not take a commission on it, and we do not hold funds or goods.

That means the due diligence is yours: verify your counterparty, inspect or test the material, and agree your own contract, payment and inspection terms. Prices shown are exactly what the seller entered — never computed or verified by us.

Do you offer escrow or handle payment?

No. Payment and settlement are between you and your counterparty, on whatever terms you agree.

Prime Polymers never holds funds for a trade.

How do I get help from a person?

Email hello@primepolymers.org and a person will answer.
