What that means in practice

The only high-impact suspension (HIS) grade VESTOLIT publish — a modified resin with impact performance built into the polymer rather than added as a modifier downstream. Aimed at window profile and pipe. If you are buying it, you are buying the modification, so substituting a plain K65 will not give you the same part.

What to check before buying PRIMEX P 1982 K

• You are buying the impact modification, not just the K-value. Confirm it is the HIS grade and not a plain resin at the same K — a substitution here changes the part, not just the price.
• Ask what the material was intended for. HIS grades are specified into window profile and pipe where the impact performance is doing structural work.
• For anything off-spec or reprocessed, ask what the deviation is. A modified resin that has drifted has lost the thing you were paying for.
