Regrind is mechanically ground material, not repelletised pellet — if the offer says regranulate or repro, that is a different product at a different price, and the two get muddled constantly. What decides the value of a PVC regrind lot is what it was before it was ground. Window profile offcuts from a fabricator are a known, filled, usually white rigid compound with a stabiliser package already in it. Pipe regrind is another formulation entirely. Cable regrind is flexible, plasticised and rarely interchangeable with either.
The contamination questions are specific to this material, so ask them explicitly: for window profile, whether the rubber gasket and any steel reinforcement were stripped before grinding; for foamed profile, whether solid and foam were kept apart, because they will not process together; for anything painted, laminated or foiled, what proportion carries the coating. Then ask about particle size and screening, bulk density, and whether the lot has been through a metal detector.
